A Farewell To Arms, by Ernest Hemmingway

This is a story about a young American ambulance driver who is wounded in the Italian Army during WWI. He goes to a military hospital and becomes infatuated with a nurse. They get seperated and while they’re seperated the Germans win (of course). He sneaks out of Italy with his girlfriend (which they are now truely in love) after meeting up with her at her new hospital post.
